Your child will be nurtured in a loving Christian environment where he or she can grow spiritually, emotionally, physically and intellectually. At CCP, your child will receive the attentiveness required to get an excellent jumpstart on academic learning as well as socialization skills that are crucial to a happy and successful life. We provide theme based learning experiences where we expose our students to a variety of planned academic and Christian material. Below you will find links to learn more about some of the specifics we offer. We hope to hear from you soon to schedule a tour!
During the Fall Preschool Session, all classes have weekly Creative Arts to include Story Time and Music. Following the weekly theme, we enjoy learning new songs as well as having fun with old favorites. We learn about different musical instruments, get our wiggles out through creative movement and explore the world of books using felt board stories and puppets. A strong emphasis on Christian values is incorporated in every lesson using stories from the Bible.
Each Wednesday, our classes meet in the sanctuary for Chapel. A variety of fun Chapel songs are led by our music teacher and a Bible story is told by a minister of the church. The students have the opportunity to learn the importance of giving to those less fortunate by bringing pocket change, which they place in the offering plate.
While developing social skills with group activities and imaginative play, we use a theme based curriculum to expose our students to a variety of planned academic material and incorporate basic Christian values to enhance the developmental stage of each age group.
Annual Activities at CCP
Fun actives are consistently scheduled through out the year including events like a Fall Festival and Registration Roundup, Book Character Day, Spirit Week, Birthday Jubilee, Easter Egg Hunt and Theme Dress-up days, Grandparents Day, Mother’s Day Tea, and plenty more. Families are always invited to attend!
Our Mission
The mission of Columbus Christian Preschool is to help give preschool aged children a positive and successful future by providing a loving Christian environment where they can grow spiritually, emotionally, physically and intellectually.
We love to play
While academics are very important to us at CCP we also love to play. Our goal is to allow children to learn and develop social skills through imaginative play and exposure to a variety of God’s wonderful creations.
Field Trips
To enhance our themed curriculum learning experience our older classes may attend field trips during the school year. We have visited a fire station, a pumpkin patch, the Space Science Center, Oxbow Meadows, The Springer, Damascus Way and several more fun and exciting places. Each child must have a signed permission form to be allowed to attend the trip.
